Hi Michael,
After a brief Google search, it appears that the main arguments for minimum wage are as follows:
1. Adults who are currently working for minimum wage are likely to lose their jobs to teenagers who will work for much less.
2. Workers need a minimum amount of income from their work to survive and pay their bills.
3. Businesses have more power to abuse the labor market
4. It discourages labor-intensive industries, thereby encouraging an increase in capital and training
5. Encourages those would normally take low-wage jobs into staying in (or returning to) school thereby increasing human capital.
Hope these help.
