I am thinking about buying a used 2003 Subaru with 46K miles,I am buying from a dealer I have known for many years and trust.
My question is - they asked me if I wanted to buy a warranty with the car.
It is through AUL, Comprehensive coverage 5 years/50k miles with 0 deductible and labor paid at the rate charged for $1,955. The car will cost $14,250, is it worth paying the extra $2,000?
I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on this.
My very best wishes

Extended warranties are mostly dealer
profit. Read the fine print to verify
what is covered. You may be surprised
at what is not covered. Besides
maintenance items, your next biggest
expense is timing belt at 105K miles.
This extended warranty will not cover it
Put your money into a bank and let it
draw interest instead.
