We own a 2000 Grand Caravan. While driving, the aBS light will pop on, and we lose our overhead computer readout, our speedometer, tachometer, tempereature guage, gear indicator, and sometimes our directionals, but we do not lose cruise control, if it is on, and we notice no change in the engine or transmission. Two years ago, we had to replace the A/C heater control module and the motherboard behind the dash. We replaced the A/C heater control module when this problem started, but it did not cure the problem. Help!

Why was the motherboard replaced originally? Have you considered replacing the motherboard again--that's more likely the culprit than the A/C heater control module...

Is there any consistency as to when this happens? Maybe after driving a certain amount of time, or particular speeds or engine temperatures? How often does the problem occur? Did it just start happening, or has it been happening for months or years?

Something that might be worth checking out initially is making sure all the connections to the motherboard are good and tight. It sounds like maybe the motherboard is just losing power--the ABS light is probably designed to be on by default and off if ABS is functioning correctly, and the cruise control is likely handled by a a different system (as it must interface with the mechanical throttle system). All things point to the motherboard losing power, either through a loose connection or a faulty motherboard. It's even possible that a loose connection occurs in response to a physical action, like depressing the throttle or brake pedal too far--this could happen if the wiring harness was routed improperly the last time the motherboard was replaced.
